Terms of Service

Commercial refrigeration service involves serious hazards, including high-pressure refrigerant, electrical shock and arc-flash, and moving machinery. The Service provides general troubleshooting information and AI-generated guidance for reference and educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for formal training, manufacturer documentation, engineering judgment, or professional advice.

You agree to follow all OSHA and EPA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, manufacturer instructions, and applicable local codes. You will not attempt any procedure you are not trained, licensed, and competent to perform safely. You are solely responsible for verifying all readings, diagnoses, and work performed on-site. You assume all risk arising from your use of the Service.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the information or AI outputs are accurate, complete, current, or suitable for any particular situation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cool Tech IQ and its owners, employees, and contributors will not be liable for any injury, death, property damage, business loss, or any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity under it. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You must be a professional or trainee in the HVAC/R field, or working under qualified supervision, to rely on the Service.

Paid plans (Pro, Premium, and Corporate) are billed on a recurring monthly or annual basis through our payment processors (Stripe and PayPal) until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. New accounts may receive a limited free trial; if not cancelled, the plan converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial where applicable.

A Corporate plan is owned by the purchasing company, which controls which technicians may access the Service via seats or a team join code. Access for an individual technician is contingent on their membership in an active company account and ends when the company removes them or the subscription lapses.

You agree not to misuse the Service, including reverse engineering, reselling, scraping, or using it to provide a competing service, or uploading unlawful or infringing content.

The Service, including its content, fault library, and branding, is owned by Cool Tech IQ and protected by applicable laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your internal professional use.

We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Alabama, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
